Your task is not to seek for Love, but merely to seek and
find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
- Rumi, thirteenth century Sufi poet
How can I give what I do not have?
Love others as you love yourself... starts with the premise that you love yourself.
When I am critical with myself I am critical with others.
When I am kind to myself I am kind to others.
When I am gentle with myself I am gentle with others.
It is not a sin, or arrogant, or selfish to love ones' self.
It is simply the necessary first step to loving others.
